UPDATE: Thank you all for your continued prayer and support. I want to let everyone know that the release of our project will be slightly delayed. God has blessed this project in ways that I could have never dreamed. By His provision through all of you, our supporters, we have been able to pursue the project that He called us to complete. Because of this knowledge of how we have made it to this point, I feel a great burden to do the best job that I possibly can on this project. To be frank, I made some rookie mistakes when I made my first visit to the studio. I am working with my engineer to schedule a time to revisit the studio in order to rework my vocals in an attempt to improve the final product. I ask for patience from our supporters and continued prayer from everyone. I work diligently to schedule my additional visit to the studio as soon as possible, and I will keep you all informed of the progress. I will also post a revised target release date as soon as possible. It is still my desire to have the project completed and released by the end of the year…after all, it was originally referred to as ‘Project 2013!!
(If this is your first visit to our site, please also watch the videos below for the full story of our journey)
UPDATE: We have reached our original goal! Please watch the above video to see how you can continue to support our project!
The Lord has blessed me with the opportunity to speak His message and lead worship in several churches over the last couple of years. I have been asked about whether or not I have any recordings of my music that could be purchased. The short answer to that question is ‘no’. Even during the times that I have been a part of other groups, I have never had the opportunity to record a project. So, I started pondering about recording a project. And then I started praying about it…
That brings us to the present. I feel very strongly that the Lord is leading me to record a few songs of praise and worship. I also feel that He has led me to the path that I am attempting to take in order to fund the project.
During my teen years, I developed my love for the Lord’s music. I attended every concert that I could find a way to get to during that time. I was always fascinated by the product tables that the groups would have set up. I would stand at the tables and ‘window shop’ for as long as I could. And, I would also wish with all my heart that I could buy a cassette tape (yes, I’m showing my age) of the group’s music. But I couldn’t. During that time period of my life, money was not something that I had very much of. I simply could not afford to buy the music. I never want anyone that attends an event at which I speak or sing to experience that same feeling.
That brings me to the plan for my recording. Several artists that I know have begun to ask supporters to make donations in order to fund a new music project before it is created. This process allows the artist to complete the project without any personal investment or debt. For the artist that is depending on love offerings and product sales for a living, this is highly beneficial.
In my case, I am not looking to make any profit of this project. My goal for this project is simply to share the good news of the gospel through song with as many people as I possibly can. I pray that it will be a tool to promote authentic responsive worship among the body of Christ. In short, I plan to give the music away. I never want anyone to be prohibited from having a copy of this project due to a lack of money.
In order to provide my music at no cost, I need to have this project paid for in full before it is completed. This will allow me to freely give copies away without being concerned with paying back a loan. So, this is where you come in…
I ask that you would prayerfully consider making a contribution to this project. You can rest assured that I have prayerfully considered my decision to follow this path for funding. In fact, I have made a pledge to fund the first $500.00 out of my own pocket. If you feel that the Lord is leading you to make a donation, you will receive a ‘reward’ from the list on the right. There are some neat items that will be given to contributors as a personal ‘thank you’ for being a special part of the ministry that God has blessed me with. Additionally, I pledge to you that if for any reason the goal of $4,500.00 is not met and I am unable to make the recording, your donation will be refunded to you. Upon the receipt of your donation, I will send you a personal acknowledgement of your gift, along with my promise of a refund if the entire project is not funded. If you would like to make a donation, you can send it to: Scott Bouldin Ministries, 116 Evergreen Drive, Kennedy, AL, 35574. You can also make an electronic donation through Paypal by clicking the ‘Donate’ button below. (PayPal will retain 2.9% + 30 cents of each donation)
I want to say thank you for taking the time to read about this project. I hope you will become part of our team by praying for the Lord’s will to be done with this endeavor. And I also ask you to please prayerfully consider making a donation towards this project. I can assure you that your gift will be used to spread the gospel and to share His praises in song with as many people as God gives me the opportunity to share with.
And finally, I ask that you share this with as many people that you possibly can!
Thank you, and God bless you!!
