In 2013, the Lord led us on a remarkable journey of faith. He called us to create a musical project and He gave us a clear vision that we were going to give it away. We began with a minimum budget and we covered the project in prayer. Then we watched as the Lord provided beyond our wildest dreams! (You can learn more about the ‘Project 2013’ journey here.) The completed project ‘The Plan You Have For Me’ was released on December 31, 2013, thus bringing us to the end of one journey. But, where one journey ends, another one always begins within the plan that the Lord has for our lives…

In 2014 & 2015, my prayer was for my territories to continue to be expanded.  Those prayers were met with positive answers as I saw doors opening for more opportunities to reach people through music and message.  Over the past two years, I have led worship services and revival services in many different churches in Alabama, Mississippi and Texas. It has been a blessing to worship with other congregations while also maintaining my ministry at Kennedy Baptist Church. Additionally, through the Lord’s provision through faithful supporters and love offerings, I have been able to build and supply a home recording studio. Through this exciting expansion, I can now produce future recording projects at a lower cost to the ministry. The Lord has definitely blessed!

2016 proved to be a challenging year for the SBM ministry as God led us in paths that were very different from the previous couple of years.  Instead of providing a host of opportunities to sing a speak in other areas, God led me to focus more on my ministry at Kennedy Baptist Church.  Additionally, He provided us with a opportunity to obtain resources for the construction of a bigger recording studio.  However, that provision required a big step of faith and a lot of labor from my family and friends.  Finally, God provided an opportunity for SBM to minister to the victims of the wildfires in Gatlinburg and Sevier County, TN, in December.  While we (my family and the Baines’ family) were in the Smokies, we also partnered with a ministry that provides a Christmas meal and gifts for underpriviledged children and the homeless in the Sevier County area.  This new partnership shows great promise for additional ministry opportunities in the Sevier County area for years to come!  Yes, 2016 was very different from years past, but it was indeed a year full of blessings!
